Ä A few complications in life are an excellent tonic to the brain.

Ä How can a tiger ever receive an insult from a dog?

Ä God sometimes puts us in the dark to prove that He is light.

Ä It is difficult to strike the stars with a piece of bamboo.

Ä There would be no great ones if there were no little ones.

Ä Into the mouth of a bad dog, often falls a good bone.

Ä We turn to God only to obtain the impossible.

Ä A fool always finds a greater fool to admire him/her.

Ä Life is a short summer in which man is a flower.

Ä It is wise not to seek a secret, and honest not to reveal it.

Ä Keep your face to the sunshine and you can’t see the shadow.

Ä Before you shoot the general, shoot the horse.

Ä Some go through a forest and see no firewood.

Ä Where there is a lot of blossoms, there won’t be much fruit.

Ä The more light a torch gives, the shorter it lasts.

Ä It is better to be the head of a dog than the tail of a lion.

Ä You can force a person to shut his/her eyes, but not to sleep.

The Great Risk

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool.

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out is to risk involvement.

To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.

To place your ideas and dreams before the crowd is to risk their adulation.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.

To live is to risk dying.

To hope is to risk despair.

To try is to risk failure.

But the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

The one who risks nothing does nothing and has nothing and finally is nothing.

He may avoid suffering and sorrow.

But he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.

Chained by his attitude, he is a slave.

Indeed! To risk is to be free!
